So, think you know how to drive? Or, have you picked up bad habits over the years? Would you like to know how your MINI will respond in an emergency? Would you like a young driver to improve his or her skills in a safe environment and with an experienced instructor in the car? Or would you just like to have a great time with other MINI enthusiasts who also want to learn how to be a better motorer?

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, then BMWCCA Advanced Driving Skills school is for you!

The Advanced Driving Skills school is designed to help you improve your driving skills and to learn about car dynamics. The school is held in a large parking lot, using plastic pylons, to provide a safe learning environment for these low to moderate speed maneuvers.

The day begins with a "chalk talk", where our expert instructors explain vehicle dynamics and the techniques students will be taught. Prior to the school, students should read the curriculum, for an in-depth understanding of what the school will cover.

Students spend time on a wet skid pad and figure eight course, learning about understeer, oversteer, steering with the throttle, secondary effects, "the line", and power-slides. These basic building blocks are key to learning how to bring you car under control when the unexpected happens.

There are no events to display.

The day is capped off with a fun autocross which allows students to further practice their new skills.

Events are held at the advanced driver training facility (also known as the "back parking lot") at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, about 10 miles North of Concord, NH.

The events are open to anyone 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license. This is a driver education school and is not practice for any racing or speed contest.

If this school sounds like fun to you, but you don't have a MINI Cooper, you can attend one of our "regular" ADS schools. For young drivers, you can take advantage of our Street Survival school. Finally, those who are interested in more driving schools that we offer, check out our High Performance Driving schools.
