If you can't get away for that Bahaman cruise this year, take a cruise with us to the beautiful Isles of Shoals. The ship boards at 8:55 on July 15th in Portsmouth. Tickets are $34.00 for adults, $24.00 for 12 and under, free for 5 and under. Enjoy the high seas on the Thomas Laighton. The cruise takes approximately and hour to reach the shoals then enjoy Star Island with a self guided walking tour.

Join us aboard the Victorian style M/V Thomas Laighton and experience the fascinating stories of our legendary New Hampshire & Maine Seacoast. Little known but historically crucial, the famous Isles of Shoals, located 9 miles off our coast, are an intriguing archipelago of 9 islands steeped with history.

As you glide through Portsmouth Harbor, you will see a unique working port with tugboats, tankers, the nation's oldest and active naval yard, the closed castle-like prison - "the Alcatraz of the East", our quaint Olde Port waterfront, a famous grand resort hotel, 5 historic forts and 3 lighthouses proudly guiding mariners safely through our waters. Our own Isles of Shoals historian will guide you through these same waters for the duration of the trip.

Star Island is one of the 9 islands located within the Isles of Shoals that is home to numerous historical landmarks and sights. Many visitors enjoy sitting along the coastline listening to the sounds of the ocean, soaking in the beautiful view of lively Gosport Harbor, the White Island Lighthouse, and the surrounding islands

Guests of the island also enjoy watching the working and leisure boats that make use of this magnificent harbor. Children particularly enjoy "treasure hunting" on the beaches and viewing the glacier carved rock cliffs that were shaped thousands of years ago. Families have the ability to sunbathe and swim, enjoy an ice cream from the gift shop, and explore the reconstructed "Gosport Village" (a replica of the old fishing village that once stood on the same site.)

If you like pack a picnic lunch to enjoy. Remember to bring your sunscreen! Pay parking is available on the dock. The ship leaves promptly at 9:25 so arrive early and don't risk being late. We return to the dock at 1:15. What a wonderful way to spend a summer day. Please join us!
